The Usenet Good Traders (UGT) list is kept as a service to collectors who use the Usenet newsgroups.

The people on the UGT list (UGT members) have all made a certain number of successful deals on the Internet, as verified by e-mail confirmation from the parties involved in those deals.

Under no circumstances does UGT membership guarantee that UGT members are honest traders. However, all UGT members demonstrated that they were honest traders as far as could be verified at the time of their application. Furthermore, maintaining a UGT rating requires that UGT members have not violated any UGT standards since their entrance (again, as far as can be verified).

The people who maintain the UGT list or website are not responsible for any unsuccessful deals involving UGT members. Furthermore, the people who maintain the UGT list shall not be held responsible for any damages or losses incurred when dealing with any UGT members.

Any UGT rating does NOT guarantee a satisfactory deal. Universal precautions should still be utilized.

We strongly recomend that you perform your own reference check on any individual in order to minimize your chances of an unsuccessful deal.
